Instagram's viewer-list feature works by associating each Story view with the logged-in user who triggered it. When you watch a Story through Instagram's app or website, your username gets attached to that view event and appears in the creator's viewer list.

ReelsVideo's providers fetch the Story through Instagram's public CDN endpoints — the same endpoints that power the open web preview. No user account is logged in on our side, so there's no username to attach. The view never appears in the creator's list.

This only works on public accounts. Private profiles require an approved follower relationship that no anonymous tool can fake or bypass.
